When Lake Wanaka Tourism built their new website in late 2021 we were contacted to build the tourism listings database for them.
While their new website was built on WordPress CMS, we created an API for their website to communicate with our database to retrieve listings.
Their listings database holds more than 900 tourism listings and events, and consists of multiple integrations to various APIs including Tourism New Zealand, Tripadvisor, and Qualmark.
The database includes a portal component that allows tourism operators to sign up and manage their own information on the website, each update goes through a review process before they get published on the website.
